Two consecutive blasts hit the town of Gulala in Khanaqin town of Diyala in South Kurdistan at around 23:30 last night.

According to reports, the first explosion occurred while an armored vehicle of security forces passed near the Tajnid neighborhood. Two security members were wounded as a result of the blast.

The second blast occurred as people rushed to the scene of the explosion, leaving 5 civilians injured.

While the cause of the blasts remains unclear, the injured have been taken to hospitals in Gulala town.
