Botan Türkmeni, Turkmen Commander of Suwar Al-Manbij, a constituent of Manbij Military Council, pointed out that they as Manbij Military Council want to be a bridge between peoples and defend a joint and equal living of all peoples.

Speaking to ANF, Botan Türkmeni said their most recent advance in Manbij city center has brought them one step closer to freedom.

The Turkmen commander called upon the Turkmen people and youth to take their place under the roof of Manbij Military Council and join the battle for the liberation of Manbij and other Syrian lands under occupation.

Botan Türkmeni continued, touching upon the Turkish state's and government officials' claims to have sent arms to Turkmens in Syria. He said the Turkish state sent trucks of arms since the very beginning of the Syrian civil war to not Turkmens but to the gang groups affiliated to the Syrian National Coalition, such as Sultan Murat Brigade, Liwa Hemze, Feyleq Sham, Feylaq 16, ISIS, Al-Nusra and Ahrar Al-Sham under the guise of Turkmen groups.

Türkmeni recalled that Manbij Military Council fighters have seized in Manbij the arms provided by AKP/Erdoğan to these mentioned groups as military and logistic support. He noted that groups guided by AKP/Erdoğan such as Sultan Murat Brigade, Liwa Hemze, Syrian Turkmen Front do not defend the Turkmens.

Türkmeni highlighted that these groups have so far beheaded many Turkmens that did not comply with them, and exiled many other Turkmen groups. He also stressed that the Turkish state has so far provided no support to the Turkmens in Syria who -he noted- fight within the body of the Manbij Military Council now.

Botan Türkmeni said they joined the Manbij Military Council for the joint struggle of peoples, freedom of all Syrian peoples and reconstruction of Syria.
