Turkish army launched a major operation against Kurdish guerrillas in Bingol.

According to a statement by the armed wing of Kurdistan Worker's Party, Turkish special forces launched a sudden-attack to Perxane region.

People's Defense Forces (HPG) said the details of the results of the operation is not clear and will be made public later.

HPG also said Turkish forces withdrew from mountainous regions in Diyarbakir and Sirnak after unsuccessful military operations.

Meanwhile Turkish army is continuing bombardment of guerrilla bases in South Kurdistan.

According to HPG, Turkish artillery bombarded Avasin region, near the Turkey-Iraq border yesterday.

No causalities were reported.
