According to information obtained from local sources, Turkish fighter jets and Cobra type attack helicopters have shelled the area of Xantur in Heftanin region late Friday afternoon.

Local sources report that the Turkish army is also dispatching soldiers and village guards to the region.

On the other hand, Rojnews agency reported that Turkish jets have bombed the town of Derkare in Zakho province of South Kurdistan on Friday.
