It has been reported that the Turkish army is carrying out operations with secret units in the Besta region together with village guards in Şenoba (Sêgirkê) in Şirnak and is preparing for a comprehensive operation in the Besta region.

The Şırnak governor announced that 7 regions in the city center and districts were declared 'temporary special security zones' between 28 November and 12 December.

The ban in question covers the Besta, Gabar, Cûdî, Kurt Dağı, Kela Memê, Tehtareş, Faraşîn, Dolê village and rural areas of Botan.
