Kilis Governor's Office announced the establishment of a special security zone in four locations on the border with Rojava’s Efrîn Canton for a period of 7 days, and tanks and heavy weaponry are being positioned in the region.
As part of its war preparations targeting Rojava and Syria, AKP government established a special security zone in four locations on the border with Rojava’s Efrîn Canton for a period of 7 days.
In its statement, Kilis Governor's Office announced the establishment of a special security zone in between the Öncü and İnanlı border guard posts, Darmık and Çerçili border guard posts, Çankallı and Dağ border guard posts, and Dağ and Çobanbey border guard posts. The special security zone would be active between 13:00 on July 30 and 13:00 on August 5, and Kilis Governor's Office had declared two areas as special security zones for 5 days in the recent past.
DEPLOYMENT ON THE BORDER
The Turkish army began deploying tanks and heavy weaponry on the border and positioned 3 tanks and DShK weapons across the village of Karababa in Reco district.
