Three Turkish soldiers killed in Barzan, southern Kurdistan

Guerrillas continue their actions against Turkish military forces in southern Kurdistan.

HPG guerrillas carried out an action targeting a “secret unit” of the Turkish army in Barzan region of southern Kurdistan. Three soldiers were killed as a result.

The Press and Communications Center of People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) made the following statement about the action;

“A Turkish secret unit laying ambush in Hill Xwedê area in Barzan region within the boundaries of southern Kurdistan, was kept under surveillance by guerrillas for two days. This secret unit was targeted by our forces at around 21:30 on April 26. Three soldiers from the effectively targeted unit were killed.”
