Rûken Bagok, one of the delegates at the PKK's 12th Congress, stated that they would make the organization of society, women, and young people the basis of their work in the process of change and transformation.
Stating that their main goal in the new period is the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan, Rûken Bagok said the following:
"I congratulate Rêber Apo (Leader Abdullah Öcalan) on the 12th Congress of the PKK. I respectfully commemorate all the martyrs of the revolution in the personsof Comrade Fuat and Comrade Rıza. We reiterate our promise to be worthy of them and to follow in their footsteps.
We held the 12th Congress of the PKK in accordance with the instructions given to us by our leader. This congress once again demonstrated the loyalty of young people in particular to Rêber Apo and how they take his every instruction to heart. At the congress, the failure to secure the physical freedom of our leader was a subject of self-criticism. However, I must also say that as Apoist youth, our fundamental decision, purpose, and goal is to secure the physical freedom of our leader as soon as possible, because he is everything to us. We believe that we will achieve their physical freedom and see him again. With this enthusiasm, we held our congress, and all the decisions we made and discussions we had were based on this foundation.
The PKK has created a great will for women, for young people, for our people, for all of us. With its 52-year struggle, it has created great social, cultural, moral, and ethical values. Undoubtedly, this has created a great memory within us; we will continue our journey forward with the legacy and spirit we have inherited from the PKK and our martyred comrades. On April 4, during the Amara march, our leader provided us, young people, with the perspective for the new process, saying, “You must organize everywhere and organize everyone.” We take this as our main instruction. In the coming period, we will make the organization of society, women and youth the foundation of all our work. All Apoist youth, patriotic youth, socialist, and internationalist youth should approach the coming period in this way.
The PKK has achieved great success in its 52-year struggle, with every march, every step. It has revived the Kurds who were declared dead, and turned women who could not speak into women of great will. We found the answers to the questions of how we, as women, can express ourselves, how we can become strong-willed, and how we can develop our self-defense in the PKK. In other words, we found our existence in the PKK.
The leader assessed the upcoming process as follows: The PKK has come this far, it has now reached the end of its life, and all the steps we will take from now on will be for the freedom of society. The PKK has spread its ideology throughout the world and created a great legacy for all women and young people. We will continue our new journey with this belief and determination. We will definitely succeed. Undoubtedly, the dissolution of the PKK does not mean the end of everything, because ultimately, great values have been created. In the coming period, all young women must work harder, read the leader more accurately, and act as true comrades to him so that we may be worthy of all our martyrs and our leader. Only in this way can we achieve freedom. Once again, I congratulate the leader and our people on the 12th Congress of the PKK, , and I wish everyone success.”
