People’s Defence Forces (HPG) Press Office has said in a statement that the military activities and operations of the Turkish army are continuing in North Kurdistan.

HPG reported that Turkish air force carried out drone flights over the Heftanin area of the Medya Defence Zones between 22 May at 21:00 and 23 May at 10:00.

The statement said intense military activity took place on 22 May between 16:00-19:00 in the area between the Êriş military post and Şkêra military post located on the border line of the Zap area of the Medya Defence Zones as well as in Bingöl and the Varto district of Muş on the same day at between 09:00-19:00.

HPG finally reported that the Turkish military forces set up many check points on the highway between the Tatvan district of Bitlis and Van on the morning of 22 May.
