PYD Executive Committee condemned the massacre perpetrated by ISIS gangs in Kobanê and urged international agencies to set up an investigation committee and put those who are responsible on trial in accordance with international law.

Democratic Unity Party (PYD) Executive Committee issued a statement strongly condemning the barbaric attack and the massacre perpetrated in Kobanê, and offered condolences to the families of all those who were killed. PYD said ISIS gangs committed a crime against humanity and added that the massacre puts big responsibilities on the forces of humanity who have to take immediate action and provide more support to YPG/YPJ and Burkan Al-Fırat forces so that they can fight the gangs more affectively.

PYD drew attention to the defamation campaign launched by the Syrian opposition and some circles after the liberation of Mebruka, Silûk, Girê Spî and Eyn İsa, and said the campaign was prepared the ground for the attacks against civilians on Kobanê.

PYD stressed that what is happening in Hesekê is by no means independent from the attacks on Kobanê, adding that some circles would like to make Heseke an area where dirty policies of ISIS are put into effect by handing over Heseke to ISIS gangs.

PYD further stressed that the model presented by Rojava Democratic Autonomous Administration is the last opportunity to save Syria from separation and end the conflicts among peoples, and added that the model created concern in some circles hostile towards the unity and fraternity of people. PYD said the recent attacks were carried out against this model.

PYD lastly called on the international community, primarily the UN, to set up a committee and investigate this massacre, which amounts to ethnic cleansing. PYD called for the trial of all those who helped the gangs and provided support to them in accordance with international law.

PYD ended its statement by vowing to continue the construction of the democratic autonomous system despite the attacks.
