The body of Rojhat Zîlan, one of the two guerrillas who carried out the action against the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs in Ankara last Sunday, was taken by the police and it is not known where they are keeping it.

Turkish police took the body of Rojhat Zîlan (Özkan Şahin), one of the two guerrillas of the Immortals Battalion team who carried out the action against the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs in Ankara on 1 October.

The guerrilla’s family came to Van Ferit Melen Airport to collect the body of their son, who was brought to Van after the DNA confirmed his identity, but the body was not given to them and was taken instead by the police to an unknown location.

Apparently, the village of Kardoğan in the province of Van, where the martyr was born and raised, was blockaded and entrances and exits to the village were banned.
