Attacks by special operation police in Hasırlı neighborhood of Amed's Sur district continue. While the curfew in the district remains, a delegation of deputies was denied entrance into the neighborhood.

HDP Amed deputy Ziya Pir, who is currently in the district told the followings regarding the situation as of 14:00 local time; “Eight ambulances entered the neighborhood at 12:30 as reports came through that 7 policemen were wounded in a blast, 3 of them seriously. Two civilians were also injured in the blast but we cannot obtain proper information about the civilians wounded since last night because ambulances aren't allowed to enter the neighborhood to take the wounded civilians. We have learned that many people have suffered injuries as a result of shootings by snipers. Intense clashes continued from 09:30 in the morning till 13:00 at noon.”

HDP deputy stated that the curfew continued and snipers shot everyone who went out. He added that police now fired gas bombs into houses.

Remarking that police forces wanted to enter the neighborhoods on the excuse of "filling the trenches dug by people", Pir said the current situation however went beyond that, quoting a police officer saying that; "Two colleagues of ours were martyred. Some will die." Pir pointed out that police forces evidently acted with vengeance.

HDP deputy Pir said a policeman aimed his gun at him, adding; "Under the current circumstances, it is not possible to expect a rational act from them. On the other hand, there is a difference between the police units that stood at checkpoints and those engaged in clashes who -he said- were attacking people like ISIS gangs did. "They do not distinguish between civilians and armed people. They act likely to kill everyone they encounter", he added.
