PKK warned Turkey for military operations against Kurdish guerillas

Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) warned Turkey for the last military operations against Kurdish guerillas and said that the process is running to a dangerous point that will have a negative impact on peace efforts.

Umbrella organization of the PKK, Kurdistan Democratic Confederalism (KCK) released a statement on latest military operations in Dersim that left two soldiers and four Kurdish guerillas.

The organizations statement read that Kurdish guerillas are committed to unilateral ceasefire but Turkish army is still conducting operations against the PKK.

KCK labeled the extension of the mandate that gives the government the power to conduct cross-border operations as a preparation for a large scale war.

The statement said that Turkish army conducted twenty-two operations in the last fifteen days and bombarded guerilla territories inside Iraq several times.

KCK said ruling Justice and Development Party is fully responsible for the military operations and blamed Turkish government for not showing effort for peace in the region.

The organization called Turkish government to immediately stop military operations and NGO’s to act against provocators.
