“PKK is not a guest in Bashur, they are on their own lands"

Gorran and Yekgirtu members have protested the Turkish state’s invasion attacks and Kurdistan Regional Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani’s statements and said the PKK is not a guest in the region, they are on their own lands.

Reactions against the invasion attacks in Bashure (Southern) Kurdistan and Kurdistan Regional Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani’s comments targeting the PKK continue to pour in.

Yekgirtu administrator Yahya Ömer and Gorran Movement member Nesrîn Cemal protested the invasion and Barzani’s comments and stated that his comments are untrue and geared toward legitimizing the invasion.

Gorran Movement member Nesrîn Cemal said: “The Turkish state is violently attacking Bashure Kurdistan. The invasion attacks have continued for years.”

Nesrîn Cemal also protested Barzani considering the PKK “invaders” and said: “The PKK is not a guest in Bashur, they are on their own lands.”

"The Kurdistan Regional Government remains silent in the face of Turkish state invasion attacks for their own interests. Their statements against the PKK are not only against the PKK, but the whole of the Kurdish people. Barzani visited Erdoğan, who bombs his lands and kills his people. The Erdoğan visit is absolutely unacceptable."

Yekgirtu administrator Yahya Ömer: “Political sides should use a common language. Statements harming Kurds should be avoided, we must work for the interests of the Kurdish people. Other parties should heed the PKK’s efforts as well, it is not right to reject and target them. Kurdish parties should be in unity and alliance. We must take the issues in the economy and politics as a whole.
