PJAK and KODAR: Let Newroz lead to victory, freedom and end to isolation

PJAK and KODAR call on the people to "put up unique resistance by gathering around social values and in the spirit of protecting the achievements of our people.”

In a joint statement to celebrate Newroz, the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) and Free and Democratic Society of East Kurdistan (KODAR) said that “We hope that the new year will lead to victory, freedom and removal of the isolation against Leader Abdullah Öcalan through the struggle and the efforts of all parties”.

The joint statement of the PJAK and the KODAR noted that the last year was full of resistance for both Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilat) and other parts of Kurdistan, adding, "While the oppression against all parts of the society continues, the Kurdish people are carrying out a struggle against these oppressions."

"WE HOPE THAT ISOLATION OF ÖCALAN WILL END"

The statement continued: “Newroz is the symbol of freedom and the beginning of resistance for the Kurdish people. Spring and resistance have always been intertwined in Kurdistan. Newroz is the source of resurrection, return to nature and the existence of societies for our people. The Kurdish people are welcoming the Newroz under difficult economic and social conditions due to the fight against the Islamic Republic and the pandemic. At the same time, an aggravated isolation is imposed on Leader Apo (Öcalan) and the Kurdish people. The aim of the attacks is to prevent the Newroz celebrations. We hope that the new year will lead to victory, freedom and removal of the isolation against Leader Abdullah Öcalan through the struggle and efforts of all parties.

On this national holiday, the occupation must be defeated, and victory must be guaranteed. We call on our people to put up unique resistance by gathering around social values and in the spirit of protecting the achievements of our people.”
