After liberating Hesekê, YPG/YPJ forces initiated a new period in the city.

After their destruction of the last ISIS position in Neşwa neighborhood and liberation of Fırat University Children’s Hospital as well as the nearby football field, YPG/YPJ forces began to organize Asayish (public security) forces in Neşwa neighborhood and strengthen defense posts in strategic locations.

YPG/YPJ officials announced that the city’s residents could return to their houses as soon as mop-up operations end in the city.
