Monument for fallen guerrillas and peshmergas erected in Hewler

A monument for the guerrillas and peshmergas who lost their lives in the war that began with the ISIS attack on Maxmur a year ago was erected in the Hewler city of South Kurdistan.

A monument for the guerrillas and peshmergas who lost their lives in the war that began with the ISIS attack on Maxmur a year ago was erected in the Hewler city of South Kurdistan.

Families of the deceased guerrillas and peshmerga also attended the opening of the monument.

The monument for the memories of HPG, YJA Star and peshmerga fighters who died during Maxmur resistance was erected in the entrance of Hewler city in South Kurdistan. 145 guerrillas and peshmerga who fell during Maxmur resistance including YJA Star guerrilla Avesta Harun Fırat (Filiz Şaybak), HPG guerrillas Siyabend Zap (Ramazan Akar) and Diyar Şerewi (Hasan Budak) were commemorated during the opening.

Maxmur-Kirkuk front commander Sertav Aso, Hewler governor and many peshmerga commanders participated in the opening, where the message of determination to defend Kurdistan soil no matter what happens was highlighted.
