HEWLER: The indefinite non-alternating hunger strike Nasir Yagiz is on has continued for 122 days, which comes to almost 3.000 hours. Yagiz’s health continues to deteriorate. His insomnia is particularly severe, and his body is more fatigued every day. Yagiz had been hospitalized on January 1 but had refused treatment.

As Yagiz continues his hunger strike in the HDP Hewler offices, the indefinite alternating hunger strike also continues. 61 groups have participated in the hunger strike in the last 122 days.

MAXMUR: Another indefinite non-alternating hunger strike continues in the Maxmur refugee camp. Ishtar Assembly Coordination Member Fadile Tok has been on a hunger strike for 62 days. Tok started her hunger strike on December 16.
