Military operations in the countryside of Varto (Gimgim in Kurdish), in the province of Muþ, are reported to continue.

The forest areas near the villages of Kulan (Qula), Kayadelen (Kunav) and Boylu (Kérs) are the new operation areas, so locals have been reporting on Saturday.

Military operations by the Turkish Army have been increasing heavily in the past several weeks. Despite the self defense position observer by the Kurdish guerrillas, the army has been expanding the war front.
