The Qamishlo city of Rojava was shaken by a huge explosion Wednesday morning.

Reports say many people have died or got injured as a result of the explosion which was caused by detonation of a bomb-laden truck in Xerbî neighborhood.

The truck was detonated near the Xerbî Asayish (public security) Center on Amûdê road at 09:25 this morning. An oil barrel in the area also caught fire after the explosion.

While an investigation has been launched into the incident, the wounded have been taken to the hospitals around.
