KCK: Karker’s revolutionary spirit will be kept alive in Kurdistan revolution

KCK said the revolutionary determination of fighter Karker Kobanê will be kept alive in the revolution Rojava and the whole Kurdistan, and that this spirit will unite people under a democratic communal life based on fraternity and freedom of peoples.

KCK has issued a statement on the death of 60 years old YPG fighter Karker Kobanê from Sinop, who was murdered by the ISIS gangs in the last attack on Kobanê on June 25-26, saying that the revolutionary determination of fighter Karker will be kept alive in the revolution Rojava and the whole Kurdistan, and that this spirit will unite people under a democratic communal life based on fraternity and freedom of peoples.

KCK Executive Committee Co-Presidency said in its statement that the Rojava Revolution has created the biggest international solidarity of the last decades and added that the solidarity around Kobanê resistance has brought about the unification of people. KCK remarked that 1 November International Kobanê Day was the concrete stage of the growing international solidarity which -it said- had a determining effect on the victory in Kobanê.

Commemorating Karker Kobanê (Rıfat Horoz) of Albanian descent, who was murdered by ISIS gangs in the massacre perpetrated against the civilians in Kobanê, KCK said the socialist spirit of fighter Karker will ever remain alive in the resistance in Kobanê.

KCK recalled that Karker had first come to Suruç, where he joined the vigil at the border as part of the Kobanê resistance and became the moral-boosting figure for the people during the war with his revolutionary stance. KCK also stressed that Karker opened a library of resistance in Suruç and worked for the deepening of the resistance.

Also commemorating all the young international fighters who fell in Kobanê, KCK said Karker was one of the heroes of the resistance with his enthusiasm and determination, and recalled that he had crossed into Kobanê after its liberation and worked for the recreation of the town, calling him a wise revolutionary shedding light on the revolution.

KCK stressed that Kobanê is not only of its own anymore, but also belongs to all the internationalist revolutionaries and all the people who rose up on 1 November Kobanê Day. KCK vowed to follow the spirit of Karker to the end in building democratic communal life in Rojava and whole Kurdistan.
