The European Kurdish Democratic Society Congress (KCDK-E) Co-presidency Council, commemorating the 34 people who were massacred in Roboski by the Turkish state on 28 December 2011, said in a written statement that this was "a planned massacre ordered by Erdoğan".

On 28 December 2011, Turkish warplanes slaughtered 34 civilian Kurds, most of them children.

The statement said: "The promotion and reward of the military commander who carried out the massacre by dictator Erdoğan is a clear expression that the Roboski massacre was a planned massacre of the Turkish state."

The statement reminded that the Turkish state has a massacre mentality aimed at destroying Kurds and underlined that the isolation of Öcalan in Imrali is part of this mentality.

The statement continued: "The KCDK-E condemned the Roboski Massacre and remembered the martyrs with respect. We will not forget the Roboski Massacre and the martyrs.

The KCDK-E calls on our people, our friends and all democratic people to step up the resistance and struggle against the attack policies developed by the AKP-MHP fascist state against our people."
