Free Journalists’ Society, (ÖGC) executive committee member Ozan Kılınç has been detained this morning in the scope of the police operation launched following the attacks in Amed that took place on 9-10 June.
It has been reported that police forced Kılınç and another family member, Azad Kılınç, to lie down on the ground and directed a gun towards them after they raided the house of Kılınç in Sur district of Amed early this morning at 05:00.
Police carried out a detailed search in the house, scattering things around, and told the family members that they were searching a gun. However, despite the entire search, no gun could be found in the house.
Journalist Orhan Kılınç has been taken to the Diyarbakır police headquarters.
