The man, who was born in February 1989 and who joined the ranks of the Islamic State, is suspected of acts of “genocide (serious attacks on physical and psychological integrity)” and “crimes against humanity (reduction in slavery, torture, rape, serious deprivation of liberty and persecution) “, indicated the PNAT.
This judicial information was opened on July 10, according to the PNAT.
A judicial source told AFP that the current location of Nabil G. is unknown. In October, the PNAT had for the first time instructed investigating judges to investigate suspicions of crimes against humanity committed by a French jihadist accused of abuses against the Yazidi community.
The PNAT, which has been investigating for several years the crimes suffered by this religious minority, had opened a judicial investigation for “genocides” and “crimes against humanity”, targeting a man, Sabri Essid, for acts committed between 2014 and 2016 .
