Humanitarian foundation MHF reaches Maxmur with difficulties

The humanitarian agency Mam Humanitarian Foundation (MHF) managed to deliver aid to Maxmur camp, which has been under embargo for 10 months, under very difficult conditions.

Maxmur Refugee Camp has been under embargo for about 10 months.

While the KDP does not allow entrance to the camp, the invading Turkish state continues its attacks on the camp. Humanitarian Relief Foundation, Mam Humanitarian Foundation (MHF) has been able to deliver food and medicines to the camp.

The MHF didn't have it easy because of the difficulties created by the KDP while the Foundation tried to deliver aid to the people staying in the camp.

Felal Salah Abdullah, one of the MHF executives and Maxmur People's Council co-chair Çiçek Cengiz, commented on the issue.

Çiçek Cengiz, co-chair of the Maxmur People's Council, thanked the MHF for the humanitarian aid.

Felah Salah Abdullah said that they were pleased to fulfill their duties. Stating that they will continue to help South and other parts of Kurdistan, Abdullah called on the Iraqi and South Kurdistan government, as well as the United Nations and international organizations to help the Maxmur refugee camp.

Foreign Affairs Committee member Neda Ahmed Mohammed also thanked the MHF for their help. Pointing out that the people living in Maxmur Camp are in a very difficult situation, Mohammed said: "The camp has been under an embargo for about 10 months. All human rights institutions and the Iraqi government must do their part to end the embargo."

Following the speeches, Felah Saleh Abdullah and co-chair of the Maxmur Camp People's Council Çiçek Cengiz presented a certificate of appreciation to the delegation.
