Human Shield activists in Qandil salute Rojava youth's action

The Human Shield activists salute the demonstration by the Rojava youth at Semalka.

The Human Shield action against the invasion attacks the Turkish state launched in Southern Kurdistan continues in Qandil on its 52nd day under the lead of the Patriotic Youth and the Young Women.

The Rojava Kurdish Youth Coordination and the Democratic Syrian Youth Council members who headed out to join the demonstration were stopped by KDP security forces, and they set up tents by the Semelka Border Crossing in an impromptu action against the invasion. The Human Shield activists in Qandil issued a press statement to celebrate the demonstration.

Bahoz Kirkuki spoke in the name of the youth and said: “As Human Shield activists we congratulate the demonstration by the Rojava youth. They were trying to come here to join the human shield action we are implementing against invading forces, but they were stopped by those who share the mindset of the invaders. They should know that we will increase our struggle everywhere. Our resistance will also continue against the government who have made a fortress out of treason for themselves. We salute our friends who couldn’t make it here and we raise their struggle. As the patriotic youth, we will turn everywhere into Qandil and into a field of resistance.”
