According to the HPG statement, Turkish troops at the Maymun hill, which is located at Haftanin border and under the control of Turkish army, have increased activities and set up camps around the Kanîya Xiyara hamlet since 10 April.
Some 120-130 soldiers have set up camps on three hills close to the guerrilla zones around Martyr Kendal Hill.
HPG-BIM pointed out that these military activities and attempts enhancing provocations, which are targeting the areas of guerrillas in inertia position, could provide basis for new clashes.
On 14 April, unmanned aerial vehicles of the Turkish army carried out reconnaissance flights over Mamreşo and Govendê areas in Zagros region of Medya Defense Zones between 7-8 pm, HPG-BIM said, adding that the intensity of reconnaissance flights over guerrilla zones has remarkably increased recently.
An intense activity of Turkish warplanes also took place over guerrilla areas between 19:00-20:00, 23:00-00:00 yesterday and 01:30–02:00 today.
Reconnaissance flights were performed over the Zap region too, from 23:00 yesterday till 03:40 today, while warplanes flew over Şırnak's Cudi region between 14:00-16:30 yesterday.
HPG-BIM added that UAVs of the Turkish military separately carried out reconnaissance flights over Martyr Kendal area between 18:00 yesterday till early hours of this morning.
