HPG: Turkish army continues provocative operations

HPG said a troop from Gomane military post located at the border line of Xakurke area launched a ground operation at 16:00 on 6 May. Guerrilla forces responded with warning fires after which the troop withdrew from the area at 16:30.
HPG reported that an activity of warplanes took place over Avashin area at 15:00 on 6 May, while Turkish air force carried out reconnaissance flights over Gare area of Medya Defense Zones between 07:00-12:00 today.
The statement said that troops deployed at Serbesta military post in Uludere district of Şırnak carried out a bombardment with tanks in which they targeted the surrounding areas between 14:00 - 16:30 on 6 May. It noted that the military activity between Serbesta military post and Tepe Êrîş has been enhanced in the last week.
Turkish troops launched an operation with armoured vehicles on the the dam road in Farqin (Silvan) district of Amed at 5 am on 6 May. The local people voiced reaction to the operation were attacked by soldiers who created a conflict in the area before retreating at 13:00 without obtaining any results.
HPG further reported a drone activity over Kirê Kor area in Iğdır between 18:00-19:00 on 6 May, in addition to an activity by Sikorsky and Cobra type helicopters over the same area on the same day.
The same day at 14:30, helicopter activity also took place over Çemçê area in Karayazı district of Erzurum.
A number of armoured vehicles and military equipment were dispatched from Bazid district of Ağrı to Sarıkamış district at 17:00 the same day.
HPG reported that Turkish military forces launched another operation in Avzut and Zirtet villages between Muş and Norşin district of Bitlis, and surrounding areas, at 17:00 on 5 May. The statement added that Turkish army has also deployed troops on some critical hills in the operation.
