HPG pays tribute to Mazlum Tekdağ

"Comrade Mazlum, who joined the caravan of martyrs as one of the most valuable sons of his people, left behind a great story with his life and stance," said the HPG.

The HPG paid tribute to Mazlum Tekdağ, who fell martyr in the air attack carried out by the invading Turkish army on 1 October 2019.

The HPG said in a statement that Mazlum Tekdağ has become a “mountain for his comrades.”

The statement added: “As a result of an air attack on Medya Defense Zones carried out by the invading Turkish army on 1 October 2019, our friend Mazlum (Mazlum Tekdağ) fell martyr.

The statement continued: “In Amed, which is one of the toughest areas of a relentless struggle, comrade Mazlum has become a symbol of struggle for its people and for its comrades. He played a role as youth leader in youth activities for many years. Despite his young life in the following years, he became one of the leading cadres of the Kurdish people's quest for freedom and the struggle for democracy on a democratic political ground.”
