The information about our fallen comrades could only be clarified now, due to the conditions of war. Our comrades Bahoz, Berfin, Jiyan, Rêber and Viyan fell as martyrs on 4 October 2016.”

The statement added: “Under the command of our comrades Bahoz and Berfin, the resistance developed in the area of Kato Jirka was one of the best examples of our guerrillas’ determination. Our comrades Bahoz and Berfin, who were aware that the victory to be developed against the enemy forces in the Botan area will bring along many developments, have taken a self-sacrificing stance. These precious comrades, whose sole purpose and dreams were the freedom of Leader Ocalan and our people, have succeeded in taking their place beside legendary commanders.

Our comrades Jiyan, Rêber and Viyan, as the most valuable and valiant children of our patriotic Botan people, have taken their places in the freedom struggle of our people. All three of our comrades have joined the guerrilla ranks during the Self-Government Resistance. These comrades, who became competent in a short time in the guerrilla struggle, played an important role in the guerrilla war developed in the Botan area.

We extend our condolences to all our patriotic people in Botan and the people of Kurdistan, especially the precious families of our martyred comrades.
