HPG: At least thirty Turkish soldiers killed in Hakkari and Agri

Kurdish guerrillas killed at least thirty Turkish soldiers in two separate clashes in Hakkari and Agri, Peoples’ Defence Forces (HPG) says.

HPG Press and Communication Centre released a statement about the details of guerrilla actions against Turkish army in Agri and Hakkari.

According to the statement, HPG guerrillas killed nine Turkish soldiers in Semdinli, a district of Hakkari province, on November 16.

The guerrillas attacked a Turkish army unit in Adilbeg area near the border at 14:30 with heavy weapons. Nine Turkish soldiers were killed, and guerrillas seized an HK-33 weapon and an RPG-7 bazooka from the Turkish army positions.

Turkish warplanes bombed Adilbeg valley a day after the action that killed nine soldiers but the guerrilla unit returned their bases without any casualties.

SIX SOLDIERS KILLED IN CUKURCA

HPG guerrillas attacked a group of Turkish soldiers in Petrul Hill in Cukurca, a district of Hakkari province. Two Turkish soldiers were reportedly killed.

In another attack, YJA Star guerrillas killed four Turkish soldiers in Gire military outpost in Cukurca.

15 SOLDIERS KILLED IN AGRI

In Agri, HPG guerrillas killed 10 Turkish soldiers in an attack against a military convoy.

On November 17, the guerrillas attacked a military convoy near Serekani military outpost in rural Dogubayazit, a district of Agri province.  Ten Turkish soldiers were killed as a Reo type transport vehicle was destroyed and another hit by the guerrillas.

HPG guerrillas targeted a Turkish military position in Vedat Ozkaya hill in Dogubeyazid. Five soldiers, including the commander of the unit, were killed there.
