HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office has released a statement regarding the increasingly ongoing airstrikes, reconnaissance flights and artillery fires conducted by the Turkish army in guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones.

According to the details HPG provided regarding the increasingly ongoing attacks against Medya Defense Zones,  Turkish warplanes shelled the following locations in the guerrilla areas;

- hills of Guro, Mizgeftê and Gemiş at the border in Şemdinli district of Hakkari between 20:00 – 22:00 on July 26

- hills of Goste and Arê in Xakurke area between 12:00 – 13:00 on July 27 (today),

- areas of Mêrgezerê and Lise Teyra, hills of Dem and Brusk in Zagros region between 19:00 – 23:30 on July 26,

- castle Ertuş on Zap borderline, Şehit (Martyr) Deniz and hill Zeytuna at 22:00.

Troops at Oremar military outpost in Yüksekova district of Hakkari conducted a bombardment with howitzer, mortar and katyusha against the areas of Martyr Rahime, Martyr Gafur, Dola Bira, Şaxe Neriya, Martyr Bager at Avashin borderline between 17:00 – 20:30 on July 26, and between 06:00 – 08:00 today.

Troops at Grana military outpost conducted a bombardment with howitzer, mortar and tanks, which targeted Adılbeg, Tepê Xwedê, Benê strait, Mamreşo hill and Miros village between 16:00 – 17:00 on July 26, and between 08:00 - 09:00 on July 27. Another bombardment from the same military outpost targeted the Govenda area between 07:00 - 09:00 and 16:00 – 19:00 yesterday.

A howitzer and mortar bombardment from Sivri outpost targeted the Basya area between 16:30 - 18:00 on July 26.

A bombardment from Bezok, Rubarok and Diskê outposts with howitzer, mortar and tanks targeted the areas of Mergê and Hopê between 20:00 - 23:00 on July 26.

More bombardments with howitzer, mortar and tanks were conducted from Gülyazı Artillery Regiment and Maymun hill outpost, which targeted the hills of Martyr Renas, Martyr Kendal, Martyr Welat and Martyr Ronahi on Heftanin borderline between 14:00 – 18:00 on July 26.

Troops at Hill Yekmal outpost and Sinek outpost shelled the Martyr Deniz hill and Bektorya area between 16:00 – 18:30 on July 26, and one other bombardment from Hill Çete outpost targeted the areas of Deryê Davetiya and Gelik between 06:00 – 06:30 on July 27.

Further bombardments from the Bilican outpost at the border with Zap region targeted the Güvenlik (Security) hill between 15:30 - 18:30 on July 26, and the Martyr Dünya hill between 03:00 - 03:30 on July 27.

Fires caused by bombardments with howitzer, mortar and tanks in many areas are still continuing.

RECONNAISSANCE FLIGHTS OVER GUERRILLA AREAS CONTINUE

Reporting that reconnaissance flights over guerrilla areas also continue, HPG listed the following details;

Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Iranian army performed reconnaissance flights over Kandil region of Medya Defense Zones between 16:00 - 17:00 on July 26.

Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Turkish army on the other hand conducted reconnaissance flights over Xınerê area of Medya Defense Zones between 08:00 – 12:00 on July 26, and between 05:30 – 11:00 today.

Reconnaissance flights by Turkish army were also performed over;

- Şukê and Martyr Rahime areas on Avashin borderline between 19:00 - 20:00 on July 26,

- Metina area between 02:30 – 11:00 on July 27,

- Zap region at 19:00 on July 26 and at 03:00 on July 27,

- Martyr Remzi, Martyr Kendal, Martyr Serxwebun and Martyr Serhat areas in Amed since July 24.
