HPG: Actions by guerrillas against massacres by Turkish state continue

HPG reported that guerrillas continue their actions in response to the attacks of the Turkish army in Kurdistan and the massacre of Kurdish civilians.

HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office reported that guerrillas continue their actions in response to the attacks of the Turkish army in Kurdistan and the massacre of Kurdish civilians. At least 25 soldiers were killed and 11 others were wounded, 8 of them heavily, in the most recent actions by guerrillas. 

HPG reported that clashes in Geliyê Doskî area in Hakkari's Yüksekova district continued for the last three days. The area witnessed uninterrupted clashes between HPG guerrillas and Turkish soldiers from early morning to 19:00 in the evening yesterday.

Guerrillas hit the Turkish troops that attempted to make advances in the region with the support of jets, Cobra type helicopters and tanks yesterday, but were forced to retreat as a result of the action by guerrillas. Between 07:00-12:00 and 16:00-17:30 yesterday, Turkish jets and helicopters shelled the area with howitzers and mortars. Armored vehicles and helicopters were forced to retreat after guerrillas responded to them with heavy weapons.

Guerrillas conducted an action against Turkish troops deployed on Hill Zevîsorê in Mêrgezerê area at 17:00 yesterday evening, which left 3 soldiers dead and one other wounded.

Gelîyê Doskî area was also shelled intensely by Turkish forces since yesterday evening till this morning when, on the other hand, guerrillas carried out an attack on troops deployed on Hill Çalareşkê, leaving two soldiers dead. Clashes in the area are going on.

In another action, guerrillas destroyed a base station in Yüksekova district of Hakkari at 23:00 on September 3rd.

A Sikorsky type helicopter of the Turkish army was effectively hit and damaged by guerrillas after taking off from Geman guard post yesterday afternoon.

Troops at Geman guard post shell the region of Dêravê village after the action, which started a fire in the area.

YJA Star guerrillas burnt down a lorry carrying supplies to Bêdewê guard post in Hakkari's Şemdinli district at 18:00 on September 4th.

Guerrillas conducted an action against Bezelê (Aktütün) guard post in Şemdinli at 09:00 yesterday morning, but the exact number of casualties couldn't be verified. Following the action, troops at the guard post shelled Çarçella area.

ÇEMKA BRIDGE DESTROYED

In a sabotage action, guerrillas destroyed the Çemka bridge located between Hakkari and Çukurca at 00:00 on September 5th.

The roads leading to Aruş and Aşut villages located between Şırnak and Çukurca remain under thecontrol of guerrillas since September 3rd.

Turkish army started an operation in Daharre area of Ağrı's Eleşkirt district on 2 September evening. While the operation was partially retreated, some military units remain in the area.

An action by guerrillas targeted the lodges of the Commando Brigade in Siirt's Kurtalan district at 20:45 on September 4th, but the casualties couldn't be verified.

Village guards have blocked the roads between the Sirya and Helêla guard posts in Siirt's Eruh district for the last three days. Some 20 village guards deployed on a hill in the area have put pressure on the people.

AT LEAST 14 SOLDIERS KILLED IN GÜRPINAR

Recalling a previous statement reporting a sabotage action against a convoy of 60 armored military vehicles heading from Van to Colomerg (Hakkari) near Payizava (Gürpınar) district of Van at 20:30 on September 1, HPG said 14 soldiers were killed as two of the vehicles were destroyed here, according to the reports verified later.

In another action in Saray district of Van, guerrillas hit the district police station at 20:00 on September 3, but the number of casualties couldn't be verified.

Guerrillas hit a group of Turkish soldiers between Tirişki and Kısımlı guard posts in Geliyê Marinos area of Van's Başkale district at 07:25 on September 4th. Three soldiers were killed and two others were heavily wounded as a result of the action after which troops at Kısımlı guard post shelled the scene and surroundings till 21:00 in the evening.

As guerrillas continue their control near Meşkan (Onbaşılar) village of Hakkari's Yüksekova district, an action by guerrillas against Hill Meşkan left one soldier dead at 14:00 on September 4th. A bombardment launched by Turkish troops started a fire in the area, which still continues.

The road between Çelê (Çukurca) and Sılehê areas in Colomerg remains under the control of guerrillas for the last one week.

Guerrillas hit and damaged a Sikorsky helicopter guarding the dam in Farqin (Silvan) district of Amed at 18:30 on September 4th.

ARMORED VEHICLE SABOTAGED IN BULANIK

A sabotage action by guerrillas targeted an armored vehicle on the road between Muş and its Bulanık (Kop) district at 20:00 on September 3rd, which left eight soldiers wounded, including two heavily.

The operation launched by Turkish troops in Morxa Jor and Morxa Jer areas in Norşin district of Bitlis on September 4 morning, continues.

Two soldiers were killed in an action conducted by guerrillas against the military barracks in Tatvan district of Bitlis at 21:00 on September 4th.
