HPG: 2 soldiers died in a clash in Van

While the operations of the Turkish army extensionally continue, a clash broke out in the rural area of Çatak/Van, where according to HPG’s statement two soldiers died and two were wounded.

People’s Defense Forces press office HPG-BIM has reported that a clash was lived between the in action Turkish army and HPG guerrillas in the countryside of Narlý town in Çatak district on July 18.

Remarking that two soldiers died and two were wounded during the clash, HPG-BIM stated that the operation was expanded in Xumarê, Xavýþta and Kato Xalîla areas after the clash.

BOMBARDMENT LED TO A FOREST FIRE IN ZAP

Giving information about the artillery shootings in the guerrilla-controlled areas, HPG-BIM reported that the Turkish army dropped bombs with mortars and howitzers on Ertuþ Castle, Martyr Cihat, Martyr Newal hills and Zewê and Petrot villages of Media Defence Areas at midday hours on July 19.

HPG-BIM added that the fire ignited by the bombardment in the area still continues.
