HPG: 13 Turkish soldiers were killed in guerrilla actions

HPG reports further war crimes by the Turkish army as well as a series of guerrilla actions in which 13 soldiers were killed.

YJA Star (Free Women's Troops) and HPG (People's Defence Forces) continue the resistance against the Turkish invading forces in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

According to the HPG Press Center statement on Tuesday, the Turkish army launched a wave of aerial attacks on guerrilla areas after the sacrificial action in Ankara on 1 October. The guerrillas have not suffered any losses in the attacks.

"The Turkish colonial state aiming at genocide has suffered a heavy blow with the great action of our comrades Rojhat and Erdal, sacrificial militants from the Brigade of Immortals, and carried out massive air strikes on the Medya Defence Zones. Our forces did not suffer any losses due to the aerial bombardments. The enemy could not achieve any result. By using banned explosives four times and bombing fighting positions twenty times with drones loaded with explosives, the enemy has committed another war crime,” said the HPG statement.

On the other hand, the guerrillas have carried out various actions against the Turkish invading forces in the regions of Zap, Metîna and Xakurke in recent days. 13 soldiers were killed and six others injured, and three enemy positions were destroyed as a result.
