Doğubeyazıt Trustee Ulaş Akman’s animosity against Ehmedê Xanî continues.

Akman had had an Ehmedê Xanî statue torn down in June, and now he has started a demolition in the Ehmedê Xanî neighborhood with bulldozers in the early morning hours, claiming some houses in the neighborhood were occupying the road.

Century-old sycamore trees were also torn down during the demolition. Trustee Akman hasn’t given a statement on the issue yet, while the neighborhood remains under police blockade.
