Every part of Eastern Kurdistan is experiencing a historic Newroz this year. Masses are celebrating the Kurdish New Year across the Kurdish region in Iran.
Celebrations have been taking place for days in Eastern Kurdistan (Northwestern Iran) on the occassion of the Kurdish New Year, Newroz, on 21 March.
On March 18, celebrations took place in several areas with the participation of tens of thousands of people, including
The Qarnê village in Nexde district of Urmia, Mergewer district of Urmia, the villages of Bêwran and Sîsêr in Serdeşt, the villages of Şînawê and Badînawê in Piranshahr, Serpêl Zehaw sub-district in Kermanshah, Qelakun village in Saqqez, the villages of Kêwereş and Hisên Abad in Bokan, and Serdoş village of Mariwan.
Thousands of people took to the streets in traditional Kurdish clothes and joined the celebrations with great enthusiasm.
