HPG stated that guerrillas sabotaged Turkish soldiers who were carrying out an operation in an area between the Fis and Celkê villages of Amed’s Lice district, where Martyr Rojhat and Martyr Navdar had fallen as martyrs in the past, around 23:00 on July 25. HPG said that the loss of the Turkish army has not yet been identified, and the army carried out heavy tank, cannon and A-4 bombardments in the region after the guerrillas’ sabotage. Thousands of acres of fields as well as houses burned down after the attack of the Turkish army, and the forest fire in the region continues.

According to the statement, drone reconnaissance flights have been going on in the Martyr Remzi, Martyr Kendal, Martyr Serxwebun and Martyr Serhat areas of Amed region.

HPG announced that guerrillas carried out an attack on police officers at anti-terror police barracks in Bitlis’ Tatvan district around 00:00 on July 26. The main entrance of the barracks was destroyed and 3 police officers were killed during the HPG attack carried out by the Martyr Bawer Revenge Squad.

On the other hand, HPG Serhat Regional Command carried out an attack on the police officers guarding the Government Office in Van’s Erciş district on July 26. One police was killed and another was injured during the HPG attack.

The Turkish army laid ambushes between the Çorova and Mela Osman roads in Erzurum’s Karayazı district on July 25 and 26, and carried out drone reconnaissance flights near the Girê Sor village of Karayazı, said the HPG statement.

Guerillas carried out an attack on the Hudut (Border) army post located in Mardin’s Nusaybin district around 21:30 on July 25, and wounded 5 soldiers. HPG guerrillas also attacked an Akrep armored vehicle near the Government building in Mardin’s Nusaybin district, and killed 2 soldiers. HPG guerrillas also attacked the Traffic Office in Nusaybin district center around 22:30 on July 26, and wounded 3 security personnel.

HPG ended its statement by saying that Cobra helicopters flew over the Akbaran region of Dersim’s Hozat district between 11:30 and 12:00 on July 26, and Turkish heavy weaponry from the Amutka army post has been bombarding its surroundings and causing forest fires that continue today.
