Guerrillas hit Çukurca Brigade with mortars

People's Defense Forces (HPG) / Free Women's Troops (YJA Star) guerrillas hit the Çukurca Brigade in Hakkari with mortars on 17 February.

The Press Center of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) made a written statement regarding the latest actions of guerrillas and the attacks of the occupying Turkish state in Kurdistan territory.

HPG shared the following details:

"On February 17, at 15:00, our forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army's Çukurca Brigade located in Hakkari province. While the brigade was hit with mortar rockets, the number of Turkish soldiers killed or injured as a result of the action has not been clarified.

AIR STRIKES

According to the HPG statement, Turkish air strikes on the guerrilla held Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq) continued. Details of the latest bombardments are as follows:

On February 16, at 15:10, the Konferans Valley in the Avashin region was bombed by fighter jets.

On February 16, between 14:20 - 15:40, the countryside of Amadiya district in Duhok was bombed several times by fighter jets.

On February 18 at 14:30 Hakkari Hill in the Metina region was bombed by fighter jets.

On February 18, at 15:30, the Konferans Valley in the Avashin region was bombed by fighter jets.

HPG added that they did not experience any losses during these air strikes.
