Governor of Sulaymaniyah Heval Abu Bakr issued a message on the 36th anniversary of the Anfal Massacre in Behdînan. Heval Abu Bakr stated that the enemies of the Kurdish people consider the Kurds and all of Kurdistan as one, and that they do not hold back on any crime against the Kurds.

Heval Abu Bakr also stated: “On the occasion of such a commemoration, we must condemn enemy attacks with a common heart and message. If there is something that will unite us, it should be our martyrs, our slaughtered ones. What unites us should be Kurdistan and our bloody common history.”

Heval Abu Bakr added: “The attacks of occupation and massacres, threats and dangers against the Kurdish people continue. We need a national will and strength to defend ourselves.”
