Goran Şaho: Freedom of Öcalan means freedom of the Kurdish people

KODAR Executive Council member, Goran Şaho, said that the struggle for the freedom of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan should be enlarged and added that "the freedom of Leader Apo will ensure the freedom of the Kurdish people."

KODAR Executive Council member, Goran Şaho said that the Kurdish people and the Freedom Movement have made an impact on the whole world with their struggle in line with Abdullah Öcalan's philosophy. "For this reason, - he added - everyone who fights for freedom, justice and equality must use all their strength to ensure Leader Öcalan's freedom." he said.

Democratic and Free Eastern Kurdistan Community (KODAR) Executive Council member Goran Şaho spoke to ANF on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the international conspiracy which led to the abduction of Abdullah Öcalan on 15 February 1999.

He said that the Kurdish people have paid heavy prices throughout history and added that "when we look at the history of the struggle of the Kurdish people and make an analysis, there is only one reason why they have not achieved their goal despite all the prices paid and the great struggle they have carried out so far. That is, they do not have their leader to show the right path. Because if a society does not have a free leader, that society does not have an independent idea, ideology or philosophy. The issue of leadership is not just a personal issue. We're not just talking about an individual or personality. We are talking about a thought system, ideology and way of life. If we look at today, the Kurdish people, especially since the state-building process, lived according to the ideology of others. The invading forces have imposed an occupation on Kurdistan. People's labor struggle in Kurdistan has always been usurped. In a way, the Kurdish people entered the service of foreign powers. Therefore, we see that a free leadership that represents the ideology, thought system, lifestyle and values of a society is a basic necessity for the Kurdish people."

Şaho emphasized that today, the Kurdish people in Kurdistan "have reached a level in which they believe in their own power and do not serve the invaders.

Today, thanks to this struggle, the Kurdish people have become a force that can resist the fate that has been set for them and that takes firm steps forward on the road to freedom day by day. When the enemy saw that they could no longer use the Kurdish people, they isolated Leader Öcalan. However, in line with the philosophy of the Kurdish people's leader, the Kurdish people and the Freedom Movement have made an impact on the whole world with their struggle.

For this reason, everyone fighting for freedom, justice and equality must use all their strength to ensure the physical freedom of Leader Öcalan today. Because Leader Öcalan's freedom will ensure the freedom of the Kurdish people in all four parts of Kurdistan. It is my call to all intellectuals, artists, writers, everyone who stands for freedom and equality; Let's join Leader Apo's freedom campaign."
