Four Turkish soldiers killed at Girê Cûdî

Four more members of the occupation forces were killed in guerrilla actions as the resistance against Turkish invasion in guerrilla areas continues unabated.

Resistance continues unabated to the Turkish invasion of the guerrilla-held Medya Defence Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq). According to the statement released by the Press Office of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) on Tuesday, four soldiers of the Turkish army were killed during actions by the HPG and YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) guerrillas on 29 August.

At the Gire Cudi Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl, western Zap region, a soldier from an advancing unit of the Turkish army was shot dead by a YJA Star sniper.  

In another action, YJA Star guerrillas hit an enemy position with heavy weapons.

HPG guerrillas also shelled an enemy position with heavy weapons.

A soldier was shot dead by a HPG sniper.

A Turkish unit advancing on a guerrilla tunnel site was targeted simultaneously by the guerrillas with sabotage tactics and firearms. Another sabotage action shortly afterwards left at least two soldiers dead and one other wounded.

In another action, a Turkish position was damaged by heavy weapons fire.

YJA Star guerrillas hit an enemy position with semi-automatic weapons.

On the other hand, the Turkish army carried out artillery attacks on the regions of Zap, Şehîd Delîl and Metina.
