Syrian human rights organisations reported that a Kurdish blogger who was arrested by security forces in June has disappeared and they are concerned about the blogger’s fate.

In a mutual press release said the human rights organisations that Kemal Huseyin Þexo, a 32-year old literature student at University of Damascus was arrested on June 23 on the Syrian-Lebanon border and since then nobody has heard from him. Syrian authorities have also failed to give a reason for the arrest. Human rights defenders have also asked the Syrian authorities either to bring him before a competent court or to release him. In the release the concern for the increasing arbitrary detentions cases in Syria has also been raised.  

The mutual press release was published by Syrian Human Rights Watch, Syrian Human Rights League and Syrian National Human Rights Organisation.
