Footage of guerrilla action in Metina

Gerîla TV published another footage of the ongoing resistance against the Turkish occupation forces in guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

The online portal Gerîla TV released footage of an action carried out in the Metina region in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

According to the Press Office of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG), Turkish soldiers gathering in the Girê Ortê Resistance Area were struck by the guerrillas with heavy weapons at 10:40 on 3 February.

Two soldiers were killed and three others were wounded as a result of the strikes.

“The invading Turkish army only announced the death of a specialist sergeant named Kadir Dingil and concealed other casualties. This action was carried out by our YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) forces to avenge our comrades who were martyred as a result of bombardments with chemical weapons and unconventional bombs,” said the HPG Press Office.
