Dozens of Turkish soldiers killed in Şemdinli

Guerrillas targeted a transit vehicle in Şemdinli countryside, leaving dozens of Turkish soldiers dead.

Local sources report that HPG guerrillas targeted a transit vehicle transporting soldiers near the Aktütün (Bêzelê) outpost in the countryside of Hakkari's Şemdinli district.

As result of the action which was carried out at around 17:00 Friday afternoon, dozens of soldiers were reportedly killed.

Reports suggest that the Turkish army launched an operation in the area of the action and sporadic clashes are taking place between Turkish soldiers and guerrillas.
