YPG Press Office reported that following Phase II Operation Commander Rubar Qamishlo on the 45th uninterrupted day, combined forces of the People’s/Women’s Defense Units, alongside fighters from the Burkan al-Firat [Euphrates Volcano] Joint Ops. Room from both Kobanê and Cizîrê [Jazira] Cantons continued to advance on ISIS gangs in south Girê Spî (Tal Abyad) and Silûk.

Defense Units from Canton Cizîrê continued an assault operation to the south of Silûk where last night they were able of securing the village Khatun and 5 nearby farmlands from ISIS occupation by conducting an overnight attack. Enduring a steady advance on the same frontline enabled YPG/YPJ forces this morning to liberate the village Um El Beramîl.

Leading a similar progress in southern Girê Spî, YPG/YPJ forces from Canton Kobanê last night could secure the villages of Ebû Hiseynî, Mahîrê and Rawya from suspected ISIS gangs. On the noted area YPG/YPJ troops could seize 1 RPG rocket launcher, 4 RPG rockets, 1 hand grenade, 2 suicide vest and 10 AK magazines.

YPG said that in south Kobanê, ISIS gangs last night attempted to complete an attack on Sina village. A tactical unit of the attackers was eventually forced to withdraw from the location after facing severe engagement by YPG/YPJ forces; there an ISIS fighter was confirmed killed.
