Death toll rose to 4 in Hakkari's Yüksekova district where police and military forces attacked the neighborhoods of Orman, Mezarlık and Kışla last night as part of the crackdown in effect since the declaration of self-rule by local people.

The neighborhoods where youths are carrying out self-defense were bombed by soldiers and special operation police teams with mortars and howitzers all night long.

While the first wave of attacks left three people dead, one other person died later after being hit by shell fragments during the attack.
