Co-mayor of Silopi municipality, Emine Esmer, has been taken into custody in her house today. Municipality worker Cemal Yiğit was also detained by special operation police.
While the reason for detentions hasn't been disclosed, Esmer and Yiğit were taken to Silopi police station.
