Following a detailed search with dedectors in all the houses that lasted 4 hours, Bismil co-mayor Resul Sarı, his brothers Emin and Recep Sarı, as well as his son Ozan Sarı were detained and taken to Amed.

Co-mayor's wife Songül Sarı reacted to the state terror, saying; “They raided our house at around 6 a.m. this morning. They turned everywhere upside down, digging and burning the surroundings of our house. The state is persecuting us. My husband has nothing to do with violence or arms, he is just serving his people. They took my son inside a room and battered him in front of our eyes. They detained and took away my innocent son, husband and his brothers.”
