Boycott in East Kurdistan grows

The boycott launched by shopkeepers in Rojhilat (East Kurdşstan) against Iran banning border trade is growing. There are boycott campaigns in Meriwan, Saqiz, Mahabat and Sardasht.

Shopkeepers in Bane and Ciwanro who make their living through kolbering (load carrying for daily wage)  and border trade launched a boycott four days ago against Iran for issuing laws affecting kolbers and banning border trade by shutting down the marketplaces and their shops. Meriwan, Saqiz, Mahabad and Serdesht shopkeepers joined the boycott this morning as well.

“WILL SPREAD THROUGHOUT ROJHILAT”

Kurdistan Human Rights Organization based in France issued a statement sourced by local sources and stated that the shopkeepers who started the boycott campaign have met with government institutions and officials in the city, but the meetings were fruitless.

Kurdistan Human Rights Organization stated that the shopkeepers will continue the boycott until they achieve results and the boycott will spread throughout Rojhilat unless the issue is resolved.
